Brief synopsis in English: Shocking testimonies of people who lived through the horror of torture, executions and death squads. Stories from prisons, torments and torturers throwing out of airplanes prisoners that were still alive.

In 1976, Argentina suffered a military coup. General Videla's cruel and violently oppressive junta remained in power for 7 years. During that time, 30,000 citizens, mostly students and unionists, were silently and systematically erased from existence. They became known as "los desaparecidos", the missing. Among those thirty thousand desaparecidos there are Greeks or of Greek origin.

Voices of protest, the voice of a wife who lost her partner, of a brother who lost his sister, of a mother looking for the grandchild she’s never met, a fugitive who lives in the past and looks hopefully into the future of Argentina.

Thirtyfour years later, this dark page of Argentinean history is brought back to focus. The country's current democratic government, the Argentinean citizens and various organizations are demanding vindication, punishment of the culprits, recognition and honor of the memory of all those people who perished so unjustly. By many, it is considered genocide. The Operation Condor which aimed to eradicate political opposition was supported by the Catholic Church and the CIA.

The List of Silence brings the names of the Greek origin desaparecidos to light and with them images from the past and the dreams of a whole generation which runs the risk of forgetfulness.

Brief synopsis in Greek:
