Screenplay Submissions 2012. Terms and Conditions.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. Screenplay Categories: feature fiction and short.

2. Eligible screenplays by:

a) Greek Origin Individuals and Production Companies from all over the world, with no specific subject in their work (Greek Diaspora & Greek-Cypriots included),

b) International Individuals and Production Companies from all over the world, with film or screenplay related to Greece (i.e. subject, myths, history, locations or filming in Greece). 

3. We don't accept works in progress, just ideas, unregistered or uncompleted scripts.

 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1. Submissions must be postmarked by the deadline in order to be considered.

2. Submitted materials will not be returned.

3. Scripts must be submitted in Greek or English language (both Greek and English versions are welcome).

4. More than one script may be submitted, but each one must be submitted on a separate application pack and accompanied by separate submission form, entry fee, and printed payment receipt.

5. Together with the hard copies of the signed and dated form and the payment receipt, all the other material, must be submitted in digital format in 2 CDs or DVDs, as follow: your script, synopsis and treatment in both word .doc and .pdf formats, and images in jpg format (300ppi). We DON’T ACCEPT HARD COPIES of your script.

6. The entry (submission) fee is non-refundable and required at the time of submission. We accept payments online by PayPal only, via our web site.

 

SUBMISSION MATERIALS

Essential

1. Signed and dated entry form (hard copy)

2. The entry form in word .doc format

3. Entry fee according to category and deadline

4. Printed payment receipt

5. 2 CDs or DVDs with copies of the script, the synopsis and the treatment in word.doc and/or .pdf format, and at least 1 digital photo of the author(s) in jpg format, and the short biography of the author in word .doc format.

6. All digital material, you must send it to us also via email at:

7. Any other digital material (if any - i.e. copy of the original work, in the case of the adaptation)

 

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Only short listed works will be presented to the public. Selection will be made by the London Greek Film Festival team but the inclusion in the festival as well as the number, dates, times, the way and locations of the presentation will be at the sole discretion of the Festival Directors.

2. All submitted works can be presented in the web site of the London Greek Film Festival, where the script will be available to web site visitors to download it for free. Applicants must declare if they wish or not to participate.

3. We accept ONLY FULL COMPLETED and REGISTERED SCRIPTS. Please note that WE DON’T ACCEPT only ideas or brief description of the script.

4. London Greek Film Festival enquiries no rights to the script.

5. Once a script is selected for presentation at London Greek Film Festival, the writer agrees not to hold a presentation of the script in UK prior to the festival.

6. Submission of a signed entry form constitutes acceptance of the London Greek Film Festival regulations. The festival management reserves the right to decide all questions not specifically provided for in the regulations.

7. All disputes, matters of interpretation, controversies and other issues relating to submission, the entry form or regulations shall be determined and resolved according to the laws of England and Wales.

8. The festival accept applications by adults only. We don’t accept applications from individuals under 18.

9. You accept that the events and screenings at the London Greek Film Festival may be recorded, filmed and distribute by the organizer (London Greek Film Festival Ltd) in any medium in any part of the world, internet included.

10. The festival and its sponsors cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to entry materials.

11. Writers can present in person their script in public into the frame of the festival. Applicants must declare if they wish to participate in this presentation in person. In this case, they will have 10 minutes max, to present their script into the frame of the festival. Any audiovisual material (DVD, photos etc) must be submitted with their script. We don’t accept any other material after the submission.

12. Deliver submission material both via email and via post:

a) via email:

  • your screenplay in word .doc file or .pdf file

  • the submission form and any other text (treatment etc) in word .doc file, photos in .jpg file

  • any other digital material

  • possible promotional material (posters etc)
