The London Greek Film Festival is the crossroad between West and East that leads us to discover and explore the idea of globalisation through a Hellenic glance. It aims to introduce Greek film to the international public, but at the same time fosters a challenge for moving image artists from all over the world to showcase anything Greek! Dedicated to the Greek moving image, the LGFF invites the spectator to an extravagant experience.

The London Greek Film Festival is a project that promotes the kind of open creativity which integrates the speed of information and digital culture as demonstrated in feature fiction films, short films, documentaries, animation, student movies and video art and other kinds of moving image. The London Greek Film Festival will provide a welcoming space to artists, writers, film-makers, practitioners, academics, technologists and art-film lovers for discussion, education and networking.

The cosmopolitan City of London, is a multicultural metropolis, where different nationalities, professionals, artists, academics, university students, scientists, businessmen and many more, exchange every day life-styles, ideas and culture. The Greek and Greek-Cypriot community is very strong in UK, where about 350,000 living in Greater London. The London metropolitan area is estimated to have a total population of between 12 and 14 million, where Greeks are very popular.
